An invite-only hospitality hiring platform connecting employers with front-of-house job seekers through a scrollable video feed — think LinkedIn meets TikTok for the restaurant and hospitality industry. Employers browse candidate profiles, view video introductions, and invite candidates to interviews directly through the app. Candidates are manually approved before posting, ensuring a high-quality talent pool. I handled the full App Store submission and compliance process — navigating multiple Apple review rejections end-to-end until the app was successfully approved and listed globally.

I always add null-checks to prevent wildcard matches from empty fields — a common audit finding that silently returns all records when a reference is empty.

Search constraints applied at the data source — not filtered after fetch. Backend workflows used for heavy logic to keep client-side fast. Repeating group queries structured to avoid nested searches. Indexed fields on high-frequency lookups.

Search & PII Restrictions

Field-level restrictions ensure searches never return PII like emails or phone numbers unless explicitly authorised. Soft-delete guards (Deleted = no) prevent history leakage without hard deletion.

Active Verification Process

I regularly test every app in incognito + logged-out mode and use DevTools to verify no unintended data reaches the client. Privacy is verified, not assumed.

Real-World Result

Zero data-exposure incidents across all live marketplaces. In HireHood — which processes real peer-to-peer Stripe payouts — privacy rules ensure renters see only their own bookings and host profiles, never other users' financials or private notes.
